I personally hate it, i'm sorry. We all obviously have computers of our own, and we're (or should be) smart enough to save them and work on them til they are done.

I would let them happen, because some people don't really have decent places to store things. Or reliable ones at that. If it's on site, then it's almost guaranteed to be there the next time you come in. I sometimes PM myself profiles if I don't feel safe.
I'd say make a separate board or something for them, it's what I did on my new site.

I agree with Saber, they are a nuisance other wise so might as well put them there.
